With PayByPlate you can use your number plate when you are paying to cross the Great Belt Bridge.
Use the blue lanes
As a PayByPlate customer, you should always use the blue payment card lanes at the toll station. These are the lanes you normally use when you are paying by card.
How to pass through the toll station
- Drive into one of the blue payment card lanes
- Drive all the way up to the machine where you usually pay by card.
- Your vehicle number plate is read automatically
- The barrier goes up
- You drive
- Payment is charged automatically to the payment card registered in your PayByPlate agreement - and you will always get the lowest possible price.
Automatic or Pay-as-you-go payment?
With PayByPlate you can choose between two types of payment when you order:
- Automatic payment
You link your payment card to PayByPlate upon signing up. If you selected automatic payment, you drive through the toll station, waiting only for the barrier to rise. Your trips are automatically charged to your payment card.
- Pay-as-you-go payment
You link your payment card to PayByPlate upon signing up. If you selected Pay-as-you-go payment, you need to stop at the toll station. On the screen, as shown in the picture, you will be given several options for payment. You can choose automatic payment with the card you linked to PayByPlate by pressing PayByPlate. You can also select BroBizz, or you can use an entirely different payment card at the machine. Note: remember that the trip costs DKK 240 if you pay with a payment card directly in the machine.
